The first thing that I would do is to get the equation into slope-intercept form:
2x + 3y + 6 = 0 --- Subtract 6 from both sides...
2x + 3y = -6 --- Subtract 2x from both sides...
3y = -2x - 6 --- Divide both sides by 3...
y = -(2/3)x - 2

Now, since this equation is in the form y = mx + b; where m is the slope, we can easily see that the slope of this line is -(2/3).

Answer: (4) -2/3

the following is two difficulty-free steps to unravel this issue: step a million: replace the equation round, isolate '3y' 3y=-2x-6 step 2: divide each and every area with the help of '3' y=(-2/3)x-2 so the slope is (-2/3)

Put in slope intercept form:
3y = -2x -6
divide both sides by 3
y=-2x/3 - 2 which is in the form y = mx+b where m is the slope and m is the y-intercept; now m=-2/3

y=mx+b
3y=-2x-6
y=-(2/3)x-2
so the slope m=-(2/3), the answer is no.4.
y=-2 for x=0, so the y intercept is -2
you confused y=? with m, slope.

solve the equation for Y...you'll get an y=mx+b where m is the slope.

2x+3y=-6

3y=-2x-6

y=(-2/3)x-2

slope is -2/3
