There are so many versions of the tale of Cinderalla and in each of them she wears a different dress (and in some e.g. Ireland her name is also different, namely Trembling. The fairy godmothers also differ. In the Irish version it is a henwife.) I reproduce below some of these versions. There are a myriad more.Cinderalla appears to have had a rich wardrobe. With a fairy for godmother it could not be otherwise.)
Her godmother then touched her with her wand, and, at the same instant, her clothes turned into cloth of gold and silver, all beset with jewels. This done, she gave her a pair of glass slippers, the prettiest in the whole world.(France)
And when she opened the nut in it was a dress of silk green as the sea with waves upon it, and her shoes this time were made of gold; (Europe)
Then the bird threw a gold and silver dress down to her, and slippers embroidered with silk and silver.(Grimms Tales)
"I'll give you," said the henwife, "a finer dress than either of them has ever seen. And now tell me what dress will you have?"
"I'll have," said Trembling, "a dress as white as snow, and green shoes for my feet."
The henwife put on the cloak of darkness, clipped a piece from the old clothes the young woman had on, and asked for the whitest robes in the world and the most beautiful that could be found, and a pair of green shoes(Irish version. Here the name of Cinderella us Trembling and the fairy is a henwife)

It was white organdy and organza and tule. It was trimmed with white seed pearls and very pale pink roses. It was floor length and rustled when she danced or walked. It was so full of fabric in the petticoat she didn't even need a hoop. She also a a tiara made of white seed pearls and long white satin gloves past the elbow that buttoned all the way up. Supposedly she had glass slippers, in reality they were made of spun silk and silver.

The gown could be understated, chic and not gawdy. i think of darker hues may be greater ideal. additionally, if the gown is strapless or with spagetti straps, there could be small jacket and/or an exquisite scarf as an adjunct. makeup and heady scent should additionally be low-keyed. Be a girl to your gentleman. basically remember you're actually not there to educate off you, yet extremely be an assett to the gentleman who invited you and respectful to the USMC. shoes? gentle. have relaxing!

Since it was a fictional picture, it can't really be related to reality. If you have the chance to see the movie, do so. It was thrilling to me. I remember it being glittery and white.
Thanks for bringing back a lovely memory.
