like the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Bears, or the Minnesota Twins? where did that style of c come from

I did a bit of checking on this, and I don't have a definitive answer. Maybe the info below will get you on the right track, though.

The 1938 Cincinnati Reds used the wishbone C on their uniforms, according to Major League Baseball's website (first link).

The Minnesota Twins began using the wishbone C (in their TC logo) in 1961 (second link).

The Chicago Bears started using the wishbone C in 1962 (second link). Bearshistory.com also mentions that Carroll College (Waukesha, Wisconsin) and the University of Chicago both use the wishbone C on their uniforms and may have been the source of the Bear's logo. I haven't been able to find a date when Carroll or U. of Chicago started using the wishbone C, though, so I can't tell you if the Cincinnati Reds used it first or not.

Origin is from Chicago. The wishbone C was designed by the University of Chicago in 1898.
