I'm 19 and don't have a curfew because I graduated in June and ran away to get married on October 19th. And I never had a curfew when I lived with my family as I didn't have any friends and didn't get to go out.

I don't have a curfew time for my 18 year old but do insist he ring me if he isn't coming home. My 16 year old has a curfew of 1am ( what is open to do at that hour but find things to get in to?) Week days are very different. Unless there is something special on they stay home but if they do go out it's home by 10pm to be able to get a proper sleep before school and work. These are the hours they agreed to and actually came up with the weeknight curfew themselves.

You are a young woman there is no need for a curfew if you give people an idea of where you are and when you may be back. This is to insure something does not happen without someone knowing where to look or contacting you if there is an emergency. Face it if no one knows where you are or how to contact you, what happens if your mother, father, sibling etc. ends up in the hospital and no one can let you know.

When I was fourteen my mother told me that as long as I called I could stay out as long as I wished. I think it all depends on what sort of relationship you've built with your parents and how much they trust you. Now I'm 18 turning 19 in a few months and I still don't have one but find that I don't have the time to really go out.
