If you are a Union actor go to:
National Association of Talent Agents:
http://www.agentassociation.com/
If there is an agent listed for your area call them.
If you are non-union, you will only find "scam artists, Barbizon, etc. that charge you for representation.
If you are serious about being in the entertainment industry, one must live in New York City or Los Angeles.

There is a website that I used to belong to called http://searchfortalent.com/ they charge, BUT its cheaper than hiring an agent and you can find auditions that are close to you and all over the place. You create a profile there with a snapshot, fill out your experiences, and just take it day by day. If a director or someone likes you and thinks you have what it takes, they will let you know. Good luck, hope that helps!!
