You can start by describing the co-operation of blood circulation and breathing. Secondly, what are the health problems included in both functions. Third, what can be done to keep them in a good condition. You may also add some statistics about the diseases and deaths connected with heart and lungs. Schematic figures of these systems, with short comments about risks/risk prevention shall give an expression of your involvement in the issue.

try discussing the effects of smoking, drinking, poor diet, no exercise or too much exercise, illness - short and long term, so what happens during respiration considering those factors?
what happens to pulse rate and blood pressure?
what about circulation and body temperature?
If you ask these questions you will have enough information to write the essay
Hope it helps
