Here are some great books that no one has ever heard of:

The Secret Under My Skin, by Jane McNaughton, 262 pg.

Blay Raytee is trying to survive in a world full of treachery.
When she is chosen for a mission, she finds out not everything is as it seems in her world. Will she find out who her parents are and solve the secrets that had taken over her life? What are the prices?

Airborn, by Kenneth Oppel, 501 pg.

Matt Cruse is a cabin boy on the airship Aurora. When he meets a dying ballonist that speaks of mysterious creatures, he is intrigued, but only thought of it as halluccinations of an old man. When his ship crashed onto a deserted island, he finds one of those creatures that the man talked about. Will the pirated who made them crash come to finish them off? What are those creatures?

The Dungeon, by Lynne Reid Banks 279 pg.

When a cruel Scottish laird builds a castle complete with a dungeon, he can't wait to put his foes into it. He decides to go on a trip until his castle was complete. He meets a Chinese girl called Peony and, on impluse decides to buy her. Peony, despite being mistreated, finds happiness within the bleak castle's walls. Bruce, the laird, has a tragic awakening of his frozen heart.

The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things, by Carolyn Mackler 246 pg.

Despite the name of this book, it's actually female empowering and described how a girl's view of herself changes in just a couple of months. Virginia Shreve's life gets totally flipped around by one phone call about her brother in college.

Hawksong, by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes 243pg.

Danica Shardae and her people, the avians, have always hated Zane Cobiana and his group of serpientes. when they decide the war between them can't go on for any longer, they visit the Mistari leader, Misa. When she suggestes that Zane and Danica marry to resolve their problems,both groups are outraged. Danica and Zane are desparate though, and agrees. Will Danica ever trust Zane? Will they ever learn to love each other?

Fairest, by Gail Carson Levine 326 pg.

Aza, who has never been beautifull, can sing beautifully. When a duchess likes her enough to ask her to be her traveling companion, she finally gets to go to Ontio Castle.There, Price Ijori seemes to look past her ugliness and at her inner beauty. In this quest to find who she really is, she also finds out how exquisite she truly is.

Much Ado About Grubstake, by Jean Ferris 265 pg.

Grubstake is a small town with just 62 residents. When a big talking city slicker comes to Grubstake, then shortly followed by a man in black, Arley Pickett gets suspicious. They offer a lot of money for the mines surrounding Grubs and says they're going to turn Grubs into a mountain resort. Why are they onlly buying mines? Arley suspects that there's really some valuble substance in the mines that no one's found. How can she prove it?

well it all depends on what kind of books that you like.

Fantasy- The Inheritance trilogy- Eragon #1, Eldest #2, and Glayder#3 (not out yet)
Romance- P.S. I love you
Historical Fiction- The outsiders
Comedy- The outsiders
A Book that can make you cry- The sight, The outsiders, The lion the witch and the wardrobe.

Try anything by Terry Pratchett, all of his books are great. The mystery bit is covered, although it might be a little lacking in romance as it were.

Try "Crying Mountain,Crazy Hurricane" by Lili Dauphin.It's contemporary and an excellant read.Check out the excerpt on Amazon.com

"Rubal" by Richard Neal Huffman. Has all that and then some. Also, if you like police stories, "Dreams In Blue: The Real Police.

People have different tastes in books, one of my favorites however is "The count of monte-cristo", I'm yet to meet anyone who read it and didn't like it
