It's a bonding mechanism. It is for the right couple, certainly. Many guys can pull off wearing nail polish and if they can't, it is easily enough removed.

I don't know any woman who likes to paint a mans fingernails.

Girls think that they go through so much trouble for guys, not realizing that guys do the same thing for them.
They put makeup on guys and paint their nails so that they can "feel a woman's pain" because they are sadistic.
Just be happy no one has tried to wax any of your body hair.

I know girls and women who do this and I think it is a way of showing ownership. I think that once a man lets a woman paint his nails, she feels like she has a say in his life. Especially because it probably isn't something that he would do on his own, she feels like she can get him to do what she wants him to do. I guess it is kind of like marking your territory. It doesn't sound like a nice thing to do, though, when you think about it that way.

I didn't realize they do. I'm not even crazy about painting my own. Unless it's a special occaision I just buff mine to keep them shiny. On special occaisions I have a prof. manicure. And my husband would never stand for me to paint his nails.

i think they just do it because it's hilarious! I just paint my guy friends nails when im bored and in need for a good laugh!

Some girls think it hot. I think it is hot when a boy that has shaggy black hair and is pretty cute looks so hot wearin eye liner and they really do look sexy.
