I don't think you can get a spare... not with a chip, without going to the dealer.

A locksmith is not going to be much cheaper then the dealer because of the design of the key and the fact that it has to be programed to the vehicle.
If you have to keys already it will cost less to have the programing done. It takes less time to program the third key.

I'm pretty sure that you must go to the dealer to get a replacement for Fords. They cost around $40 if they have the anti-theft chip, and it can be more if you lost both originals.

all of it comes all the way down to the exertions and time standards. the biggest itself of direction does not fee $a hundred.00 however the department shops exertions value is in the community of $75-$80.00. the prevalent value in our keep is a million hour to application a clean key to the automobiles PATS(passive anti-theft device). It does not take an hour yet what Dr. spends an entire hour with you in the process a pass to and expenses you $2 hundred.00+ as a replace of the 5 minutes he spends in basic terms speaking to you? you're procuring the proffessional, knowledgeable, needed technician. by making use of the way, there's someone-friendly false impression that the techs recieve that $75-$80.00 an hour. incorrect!! maximum techs make between $15-$20.00 a flatrate hour finding on education, something is going to the keep. in case you don't be responsive to what flatrate is and how the department shops earnings from it I advise you examine it or greater appropriate yet refer to a flatrate tech. you heavily isn't disillusioned in what you study.
