dont be a microsoft dummy. go for firefox!
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
it works the same, so dont be afraid, but doesnt have the weaknesses of IE. many more positives with this browser, and once you go firefox you will never again go IE.

.
I understand you being perplexed should you, or shouldn't you?
Here's the skinny. Just like every new MS programs or OS,
Internet Explorer 7 is new, untried, and full of bugs.
(Bugs are glitches in the coding that cause running problems).
After IE6 came out it took more than a year for MS to issue enough CRITICAL UPDATES and FIXES to get IE6 cleaned up and running smoothly.
The new IE7 has had a bazillion people download it and 75% are unhappy and UNloading it > going back to now stable IE6
If you want a few new bells and whistles
and are willing to put up with a lot of problems
maybe yes, maybe no
then download it.
All I know is that I've been on here answering to lots of people that want to know how to get rid of IE7
and go back to IE6
and I have to tell them to go to their last Restore point where they still had IE6.
As for me, I'm happy with IE6. It's stable now with Sp2 issued fix.
I am going to venture to say that IE7
is actually IE6-plus-fixes built in, along with
some unnecessary changes, and
lots more security (not for you) for Microsoft,
of course ;(
Stay with IE6.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

IE 7 does not speed up your internet.
But there are a few things that make the pages popup a little faster.
the best thing about it is that you can have multiple pages open in one window.
So you can read one page and open up another in a tab.

I downloaded it the other day without realising. I can't say it's any faster and the little symbols esp the one for refresh nearly invisible.

Firefox is safer and better. It will keep your computer fast and safe as it is not prone to spyware and such like IE.
To speed up the computer, try installing Ad-Aware.
Google for links!

It won't help the speed of your computer. I tried it but didn't care for it. It does have some features IE6 doesn't
