There are many of them, however, it is unlikely Humanity will survive to go meet them. Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species. Your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you and neither does your penchant to breed beyond your planet's ability to sustain you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

no count if or not extraterrestrial beings and different smart life exists out interior the Galaxy is something we would desire to be (on the 2d) "agnostic" approximately. If somebody says the two "confident, there are extraterrestrial beings" or "no there are no extraterrestrial beings", he/she's mendacity because of the fact he/she won't be able to probably understand. so a good distance, there is not any reason to believe that we are particular in any variety of way. you say that we've been "particularly fortunate interior the variations of each thing", yet will we actually understand this? we've particularly 0 thought how many planets there are that are waiting to take care of life. The Drake equation (see link under) tries to assign a numerical value to the style of alternative civilizations, however the parameters that enter this equation are the two thoroughly unknown, or unknown with super uncertainty, so as that the end result could be everywhere between 0 and a few billion...

Possibly. No one knows for sure. Look up the "Drake Equation", which is a way to estimate the number of such civilizations. Each term in the Drake equation has big uncertainties.

Nobody knows.
However, try looking in your local library for a copy of Carl Sagan's Cosmo TV series, chapter 12, Encyclopedia Galactica.

Statistically the answer is yes, from a cosmological point of view. There is an equation that expresses the number of planets like our own, as old or older than ours. I am sorry but I do not recall it. YET THE answer is approximately TEN.

Nobody knows. And we won't know until we make contact. And those who claim that they made contact already should make contact with their shrink as they are delusional.
