Why is it idiotic? The question raises a provocative point about racism. The poster is suggesting that certain people might still harbor hostile feelings towards immigrants--Latino in particular--even if they came to America legally. It's a perfectly legitimate question.

Why is that stupid? He was asking if people would feel resentment towards Mexicans whether or not they came here legally... I don't see the problem.
-Are you dumb? If they came here legally, it means they followed the correct procedure to immigrate. If what you were saying were true, then we would own many, many countries...
