I'm sitting here with a cup of coffee. My last holiday guests just left and I'm exhausted but, missing them already. I had a large crowd here. A lot of work but, lots of fun. Sight seeing, playing games, lots of laughing, etc. Thank goodness I hired help and thank goodness for my family. Now I'm looking forward to Christmas. Are you? I feel so blessed. Did you have a nice holiday too? I hope so.

didn't have any family for Thanksgiving so didn't miss the company. however for the last nine years had spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with a Lodge Brother and his Wife. now that I've moved away seemed very lonely so called them and we all felt better.

I must say my Thanksgiving was wonderful. My husband, daughter, grandbaby, and neice were together. There was so much love that day and I sure do miss it. But if it had been with my husband's family, it would have been a disaster. They barely speak to me and then they act like I don't exist in conversations. The problem lies with my disciplining my step children while their mother was incarcerated. Well, the children are grown now and still hold a grudge against me and Grandma thinks I was too hard on them and that I was just mean. I am not one of those so called "jealous daughter in laws". I have tried to get along with these people. But, I refuse to be put under a microscope when they are around. They claim to be christians, but their trees don't bear the fruit. How dare you stereotype me without knowing any thing about the situation.

I had my first "large" thanksgiving this year, and no, I don't miss my guests. It went well, we all had fun, but I am glad they are gone so I can rest.
