Bush and Cheney's administration has been an abomination. But, an assassination of the leader of the United States of America from within or without is a heinous abomination of much higher order and one which the citizens of this nation would rise against with more outrage than could be imagined. No, I would not be surprised. I would be enraged and profoundly vengeful.

Not really. God knows he's made enough enemies and there are more than enough people who detest him.

As much as I dislike him, I wouldn't want to see that happen. Having gone through the Kennedy assassination, something like that isn't a thing you'd wish to have take place no matter how much you don't care for a person. So, let's hope he's allowed to live out his term and that the Democrats will be able to straighten out his mess once he leaves office. And maybe, they can rein him in a bit during his last two years.

Bush has continually gone over the line of his authority granted by the Constitution. Now he talks of bombing Iran and embroiling this country and the world in an even bigger conflagration, risking throwing the entire Middle East into chaos and war, if it would stop there. There are those, like the United States Military, who have the responsibility to make sure he has not lost his mind completely, and stop him if he does, who might have him removed, but assassination is not the avenue for that. Such an act as that would cause way too much disorder here and in the world, and that cannot be allowed. I sincerely hope that never happens again to this country, no matter who is in power. I would not be surprised to see him Impeached however, a fate he and Cheney have clearly earned.

No.....he's the single most effective force against the terrorists in the world as his actions have decimated their ranks to near extinction. If they had any brains at all, they would seek to get rid of him and Cheney in the hopes that whomever took over would be too weak willed to continue the work. It would not be too hard to do because our president is not exactly tight with his own personal security (something I am not pleased about). For God's sake, his daughters keep ending up with various snafu's with regard to security. Recently, some purse snatcher was able to steal one of their purses, getting around the secret service with impunity. I don't like that one bit.

Of course, the likely backlash would be a real drive by our country to exterminate them at any cost. They are, of course, even more terrified of this than they are of Bush. They are much more inclined to wait and see if the american people elect a much more terrorist friendly president in '08 like John Kerry or Hillary Clinton.

Yes, Al tho Bush has alot of enemies in this country, (and Rightfully so, This is war, You cant please everyone) I still think that bush is the most well protected person perhaps in the world. If someone were to ever get close enough to kill him, that person would be surrounded by undercover agents, Its just not a high probability of happening.

No, I wouldn't be surprised, there is so much hate in this world. To all of the people who made derogatory comments. You must be very immature to wish death upon a sitting US President, no matter who he is. I am not fond of Bill Clinton but under NO circumstances would I wish him dead. That is just sick and it IS unpatriotic.

Suprised, yes.

Although I'm sure there are millions upon millions who would be more than happy to do so if they were given the chance.

Hm... Well, considering Cheney shot his friend in the face with a hunting remington... Yeah, if Bush was eliminated, I'd be suprised someone would want Cheney in power. Think of what he would do to his enemies! (This is mostly for paradoy purposes. Otherwise, Not really... He's made alot of enemies.)

No, and it wouldn't surprise me if he planned it as well. It would be a way for him to get himself righted in some was as far as history is concerned.
Look at how we view Lincoln and Kennedy? Both are put on some sort of pedestal because they were assasinated...Bush would try to pull something like that to get some of the black marks off his record!!! Another way to get our minds off the war and gas prices...
