since your DRL's (day time running lights) come on when you start the car. I can only assume you want to control the headlight manually and you don't want to be bothered with turning the headlight switch to the left every time you start the car.
It's only a matter of altering the DRL relay.
Remove the relay
pop the cover off the relay
the relay is in the relaxed position when no power is supplied
this is the way you want to keep it. Take a piece of plastic or anything non conductive and wedge it between the relay contacts so when the coil is energized the contact won't move.
reinstall the relay.....ta da ...no DRL's
