Wow that is awful. No offense to your mother but she needs to learn how to diet. In most cases where people barley eat for a long time like that they end up binging on more food than they would have had normaly. This kind of dieting can lead to serious health problems expecialy for children under 12 of better yet anyone. You should all sit down with her and tell her that what she is doing is wrong. There are way better ways to loose weight than basicaly starving yourself. Now if she was on an actual healthy diet then it would be great.

Growing kids need to eat, fat or not. A healthy diet is what you need not a calory restricted diet. Your mom needs to let you and your siblings eat three square meals each day. Junk food should be cut out and fruits and veggies put into the diet. Tell your dad and share the info that you have gotten today with him. If you talk with him then he will get your mom to feed you.

No, this is not right... It is a serious issue!! Call your dad and tell him what is going on. If he does not do something about the situationyou need to get outside help... Try going and talking to your school councelor or social worker tomorrow if your dad doesn't do anything. Not allowing your children to eat for 11 hours is not only wrong, it is neglectful, and if your mother isn't careful she could get CPS called onher for child endangerment. It sounds like your mother has some issues that need to be addressed by a professional. Anyway, have your father talk some sence into your mother.

Balanced healthy meals are the best way to lose weight in combination with exercise.Cutting out meals can actually increase weight gain as the body thinks it's being starved and locks in the fat. By keeping the 'fuel' levels up the body releases the fat with exercise more readily. Dieting as such is the worst thing you can do as it leads to yoyoing weight which is actually worse for your body. Dieting is also bad psychologically as well.Healthy eating plans work better and are easier to stick to. What your Mom is doing can cause more harm than good.

I don't think it's right at all! I mean you can still eat and lose weight. Eat more healthy foods and exercise more. Eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and supper. Then you can eat and still be healthy.
I would talk to your Mom, and if nothing works then maybe when you guys go to school, EAT A LOT OF FOOD.

I hope everything works out for you, it must suck not being able to eat when you want to..

My best wishes to you, your siblings, even your Dad and Mom, they need to eat as well..
Good luck ^_^

That's really bad, especially for the 4, 7, and 8 year olds. Preventing kids from eating and calling them fat gives them really bad body images, leading to eating disorders later in life. Besides that, starving yourself (like you are doing) and then binging (which you will probably end up doing at dinner) will only make you fatter. Instead of keeping you from eating, your mother needs to give you healthy foods and let you get outside and exercise more.

That's not right at all. She's pretty much starving you, whether you think so or not! The only right way to lose weight is to eat normally (3 meals a day) and keep them strictly healthy. You will all get eating disorders if you keep eating this way! Tell your mom what I said. If she doesn't agree with you, take it up with a counselor or doctor. You guys need help!!!!

No, that's completely ridiculous! Whether or not you all are actually fat...eating only two meals a day is not a good way to lose weight. Also, if your mom wants to diet that's her deal, but she needs to feed all of you proper meals at least 3-5 times a day. Children need proper nutrients in order to grow, and develop properly.

NO!!! Wat does your dad say on the situation. Not knocking your mom, but this is why anorexia and such disorders are big in the world. If you are really fat, oh you'll know. your mom has no right making you not eat square meals. that is part of her job as a parent. if i was in the situation i would eat no matter what, i LOVE my food and personally can't gain weight. i'm 12 and can barely stay @ least 100 lbs. and am 5 ft. 4 in. if it really becomes a problem talk to your dad or another adult, soon! and your mom shouldn't force everyone to "suffer" because she is

No.That might be considered anorexic.A diet is where you only eat things that don't have to much fat or calories or anything that can make you gain weight. You need to eat or your body will start digesting itself because I've done that more than once.Tell her that you just need to eat Healthy foods and get good exercise.
