I worked at McDonalds for a long terrible year. And I know for sure that it is Mic Donalds. After saying it everyday, you know how to pronounce it.

Mc stands for Mac, which means "son of". Mc is just an abbreviated form of Mac. So, technically, McDonald is really MacDonald. However, many people pronounce it as MicDonald, and I don't think it matters much to McDonald's, just as long as you go there and buy their food!

Either way. I say it both ways. MacDonald is probably correct though. It comes from the Scottish meaning 'son of' so MacDonald is the son of Donald. It has just been shortened to McDonald over the years.

well this is probably stupid but if u think about it they call it a Big Mac not big Mic, and since its name is Mcdonalds i thnk it should be Mac otheriwse they should rename their sandwich but its Mic, from what i hear from everyone
