I don't care if they think I am cool or not. I love country music, and I figure to each his own.

Maybe because it is a style that has changed very little through its time and it is not the music of the mainstream. With people as a whole, if it isn't mainstream and in, it's not cool. Screw them! I am a proud non conformist when it comes to fashion and music. The "popular" music is getting worse anyway.

Weird question... I personally despise country music because mainstream country music is so unoriginal it is scary. A huge majority of it is written in the key of C, they never strive to show any instrumental mastery. But I wouldn't go as far as saying those who like it are "not as cool." :O

I'm not really sure, but some people are just streotypical and think that country music is just about riding your horse to the bar and getting drunk. I don't think that about country music, but some of my friends do and it really gets on my nerves.

heck yes if you like country you're cool lol i have no idea but that's pretty stupid if they do...country music is just another type of music, like RAP, CLASSICAL, lol and etc!

because they dont take the time to listen to it...and to the lady who said country people pay others to write their songs...your sadly mistaken...more country artists write there own songs than artists of any other genre....so do you're researh next time.
