What were the politics of the Christians who were feed to the Lions? Leftist?

As a child I was taught to admire the Christians who were feed to the Lions for their faith. Today, I am grown-up and educated. I now know that all religions are false, and I am very unsure about the existance of a God.

Lion fodder...I know who those Christians really were. They were people without a healthy will to survive, or the modern day equivalent of "leftists".

You know, its funny, many leftists claim to believe in evolution, and yet havent really studied it or demonstrate know substantive knowledge of the science. In contrast, many conservatives openly bash the science, yet demonstrate and inherit understanding of the its reality.

At one time, Christianity was an illegal religion in Rome. The Christians who were fed to lions, hung on crosses to die, dipped in Tar and put on fire to light celebrations, and put to death by a whole host of other interesting tortures, were those who were found to be partaking in what were declared illegal and heretical Christian activities. Those who were killed included Christian Leaders as well as their followers and many people who were wrongly accused of being Christians by neighbors who had grudges and wanted them punished.

Most Christians were from the poor. Rich and educated Romans followed other religions, not Christianity. For example, The Military followed Mithra almost to a man. Many Roman women followed the worship of the Mother of God, Isis. Most Roman men followed the worship of the Roman Emperor, who was by law the son of God (which was why the Christian beliefs were considered heretical).

Somehow, I don't think that the men, women and children who were killed for being poor and found in the wrong place because they were following a religion which was teaching them they would be rewarded in heaven for their piety and poverty here in this life, had any real leftist leanings. Most of them were more interested in trying to find their next meal.

As a liberal believer in the Bible I am certain that both theaters of creation theory are in error.

I find it most interesting that the book of Ezekiel has more content about airplanes and future flight concepts than Genesis has regarding Creation.

The gross content in the Bible is about social interaction.

Duh....they were all monarchists...that was all the form of government existing at the time. And Christians weren't the only ones fed to the beasts....many, many others were too...and they sure didn't go tamely, you should read a little Roman history and you'll learn just how mean and tough the Roman Army was. The best one could hope for was to be obedient and hope it would save ones life!!

The followers of Yeshua who were fed to the lions were not leftists. On the contrary, they were Orthodox Hebrews following the teachings of their Orthodox Messiah (annointed King). The leftist crap came in during the 4th century under Constantine who perverted things to mollify the activists.
