I have a herniated disc in C4 and C5. Have been receiving wcb for about 2 weeks. Will wc stop paying and taking care of appt. if they think it was caused by deginaration?

That depends on the doctor, if the doctor writes in his report, herniated disc due to degeneration they might fight you in it, but, you can fight back by saying that work was aggravating the situation and made it worse, of course, if you have a lawyer best way to fight this. And believe me it works, people do go through these conditions and work habits makes them worse for the body.
Good luck :)

I'm a Workers Comp Claims Adjuster, and while each state has different rules regarding "pre-existing" problems, the question the Adjusters and Attorneys have to ask is "Did the injury you sustained bring your degeneration into "disabling reality". A good resource would be to contact your local Dept of Workers Claims, also known in some states as the Industrial Commission. They have Omsbudsmans there who can answer any question you may have about what your rights are, etc. Hope this helps.

I had a degenerated disc problem that was made worse when I fell down on the job at work. Comp payed for surgery and all medications. They also payed for me to go back to school and learn a different trade. The amount of money you get, depends on how much you were making at the time of your accident. The point is that you have to hurt yourself on the job. Good luck with this.

Yes, but, it will be turned over to Social Security Insurance benefits Instead. You see right now your cheating me, your neighbor, your friends. If you go through S.S.I. Then your going through the Federal Government, what you should have been going through the first time.

If you go through S.S.I. you'll get lifetime benefits and be able to go to work when you available. Then, if you become ill again you can again go back on SSI. Good Luck.

I think it would depend on the accident report and your history with regard to back problems.
