Most businesses are not impressed by an "online school"degree. *Like University of Phoenix -on line".
Or are you talking about a class is online for an accredited University? I had a friedn who did some of those and didn't like it because it was difficult yo work on group projects.
Good luck with heading back to classes!

Although I am not single, I am a mom, 43 and going to school. And no matter how you choose to do it, boy is it hard to get back into the swing of school and homework along with everything else. If you decide to get your basic classes out of the way by doing them on the net make sure you can transfer your credits...It might be easier and better if you start off at a local community college for the basic stuff. Start slow..only a class or two. Good luck....it is great getting back to school and going for a dream...even at our age!! lol

In my state, the community colleges offer online coursework and it is possible to earn an AA degree online that transfers to a 4 year college. This provides a little more credibility than an "online" school might have. I have taken classes both ways. With online classes, you have some flexibility and you don't need to worry about driving, parking, babysitting and meals out. In that respect, they are easier than attending classes. On the other hand, asking questions can be difficult. With online coursework, you miss out on the social part of taking classes and things like study groups. Online courses are more difficult because they require a much higher level of commitment and self-discipline.
My suggestion is to see what your community college system has available online and try it.

I would start with on-line classes, get the basic classes out of the way. Then when you are into your second year pick a nearby college that will take care of your needs as a older student. Make sure you pick a on-line college that will transfer over to one another.
