Well you can't become "prep" by changing you personality. Everyone's personality is their own. Usually the term becoming "prep" or "yo" or "goth" etc... is about simply changing your style in wardrobe... So in order to become more of a "prep", beginning to buy your clothing at "Hollister", or "A.E.- American Eagle", or "Aero", would be a good idea. By the way just an F.Y.I... dont change your style to become popular, change it for you, because you prefer it. There are a lot of styles out there to choose from and none of which makes you more popular, your own personality, and preferences do.

You may think being a prep is what makes you popular. The only thing popular about preps is how the handle themselves. Being popular isnt always the best thing. I used to be until i got over the whole highschool steryo-types and saw the best people are the ones no one accepted in highschool. but if you insist on being popular you have to put yourself out there ...dont be shy or afraid of anyone. For some reason all preps hate spiders. so i guess that might help. lol. No but the popular kids arent afraid of the unknown...or at least they dont act like it. When you go up to a popular crowd dont act like your not worthy of your time. Act like thier not worthy of your. Play a sport of join some sort of club to get yourself known. Then lastly just be the you people like. Sometimes when ur popular you cant be who u like but who others like. thats whati hate about it. But just be nice to everyone for a while get everyone to like you and then go straight to the top. start hanging with the girls u wanna be like one and just sit with them be like them and eventually they will accept you. good luck. i hope you find the happiness i found in Jesus.

a prep!!!! I have to say that here in the UK is was always pretty dam cool to be yourself. Preps are most certainly not cool. nobody gives two hoots about a nasty person who has fake hair and just so happens to have a nice handbag, people like genuine, friendly, smiley people. By all means buy nice clothes and take care of your appearance but dont try and look like someone else.

being a prep wont make u popular... alot of preps arent popular...emo/scene people are popular in my school...u need a personality to get popular and some friends...im a preppy emo girl(atypical scene girl) and i wear usually all of this stuff but my preppy friends
wear:
all name brand stuff
coach purses
expensive jewerly
hollister and abercrombie
eww plz dont become a prep...u should stop labeling urself tho...alot of people wont like u...the only reason my preppy friends are popular is cuz they have a personality and alot of friends..like me so maybe u should think about tht

I always thought the teachers chose the preps. Usually, someone who can set an good example, be responsible, and a caring member of the community.
I didn't think that popularity had anything to do with it. You clearly have to be confident enough to stand up and speak for the class or school when needed.

dye your hair blonde
get even lighter blonde stripes in your hair so it looks like you're a blonde zebra
drink beer
go to football games drunk
or go to football games and paint your stomach
wear shorts that show your butt cheeks
max out daddy's credit card
wear 50 lbs of makeup
dont try at school
wear jeans 2 sizes too small
lie about your weight
and jean size
flirt with teachers
flirt with anything that has two legs and a penis
shop at hollister and abercrombie
buy an XS there even tho you usually wear a M
chew gum all the time
buy a tiny bikini that doesnt flatter you
glue a cell phone to your ear
buy a pink ipod nano
worship paris hilton
have fun.

a ribbon in your hair or acting "preppy" isnt really gonna help you. people are just going to think your a poser. people should like you for who you are and if they dont than they aren't worth being friends with. having one best friend is better than having a million fake friends.
just have your own style and like who you are and you'll make lots of friends
