hi, im doing a assignment and would like help on a Q : how would you deal with spillages eg: oil,water and blood. i mean is there anything to do for the 'blood' side of it? please help xx

for blood - wear non latex gloves, clean up spillage using absorbant paper, and dispose of both paper and gloves in recepticle

if oil or water you can put out a wet floor sign

I would think it would be to clean and disinfect the area, whilst protecting yourself i.e wearing gloves. I don't think that you would need to go into any other details regarding the blood e.g accident book/first aid etc. as question is specific to the spillage.

You need to use a UPK, universal precautions kit. Body fluids are considered hazardous materials. They must be disposed of properly, just like needles and other materials that can cause cross-contamination. They must be disposed off via a biohazard material company. It is important with blood and body fluids so disease doesn't spread. Look up 'universal precaution kids' and disposing of biohazardous material. That should help.

wear gloves. clean it up with disinfectant and tissue and then dispose of it on a clinical waste container where it wil get sent 2 b incinerated

for blood I would think you would need to put on latex gloves in case of any infection

Spray with alchohol and bleach with water.
