The standard of the drivers seems to be low, or ranging from good to average to very ordinary. It may sound crazy, but I feel that there is too much overtaking - it makes the race not only chaotic, but also very difficult to follow....Camera 1 shows Malaysia overtaking Lebanon then switches to camera 4 which gets a glimpse of Ireland banging wheels with India, then next second you see the image of China going off the track trying to overtake Indonesia, followed by England getting zapped at the chicane by France. Overtaking is only exciting if it happens infrequently. Overtaking is meant to be hard, not easy. We get excited when we see overtaking in F1 because we all know that it's difficult, and when it does happen, it's a special moment that signifies driver skill, and superiority of the machinery.
Except for a couple of teams that performed consistently strongly, most teams' performances last year appeared to be very patchy. There is no hierarchy and order and predictability and...REPUTATION like in Formula 1, well, atleast not yet anyway.

Obviously Formula One has to be better than a series that started last year.
The A1 concept is an interesting one, but I'm not so sure the series has staying power; just as happened to Formula Palmer Audi, it may also disappear in a year or two.
I watched the race at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia (it rained) and, while there was a fair amount of passing back in the pack, I couldn't really describe it as a great race - there were a lot of really inexperienced drivers in the race and it appeared many were not comfortable racing in less than ideal conditions..
The rule of only six people working on a car during a pit stop isn't too exciting, but I'm sure the small crew is designed to keep costs down.

Haven't seen an A1 race yet but have been told the cars are pretty quick. F1 will always be the pinnacle and very hard for drivers to get into, but A1 gives lots of opportunities in an international venue for drivers struggling for recognition.

Yes, the format with a feature and a sprint race is cr*ppy. It would have been better if the 2-race format would be something similar to the one in WTCC (equal races, reverse grid, weight penalties).
Plus A1GP coverage is also poor, not many countries showing it. In my country F1 coverage is pretty good, while A1GP coverage is... totally inexistent.

i don't think of it extremely is a competent concept. New venues require a intense call for of tickets and that i don´t think of there's a marketplace for it. For a intense altitude GP there is Mexico city. 2,4 hundred m above sea point. A music used for the time of the 60´s early 70´s, and then the eighty´s and early ninety´s Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Mexico city city section has 20 million habitants. there's a extensive marketplace in motorsports.
