Maybe a regular piece of paper, as long as you are right there to watch it and if it starts to burn hurry up and take it out. It depends on the microwave and how old it is. I have done it with mine and it was ok. Be careful.

You can put any kind of paper in the microwave, just keep an eye on it and make sure it don't get too hot. Next time try investing in some paper plates that you can keep stashed away for emergencies.

You could try it just stand by and keep watch. Stop it every few turns to feel the paper or if it starts to smell like its being burned, i would take it out. Or you could just cook the pizza and clean up any spills afterwards.
