Even with the new Plasma technology, Plasmas are still more prone to burning so stick with LCD as it supports HD and are cheaper? I think... Are Plasmas the TVs with bad coloring from any direction other than straight on? Anyways, computer monitors are LCD, or at least the flat panels, so you can tell it's good quality.

THE best type of tv, would be a LCD, we have one, and my bro plays games on it ALL the time, and it has really good quality. The "Burn in" thing is kinda bad on plasmas but not that bad, as long as you don't have the same scene on there for a long amount of time. The LCD is the best type of tv for video games though!

It's not hype, the average life is about 6 to 7 years, and burn in is much more likely on Plasma. I suggest LCD.

I'd rather not bet a plasma TV. When the plasma runs out, replacing it is as expensive as buying a new TV. I'd rather an LCD screen.

Burn in is no longer an issue. LCD will block or pixelate on high speed action sequences; definitely go with plasma for a game machine.
