Have moved away with husband and 1 year old. Have left family and friends behind. I dont know how to make new friends as am quite shy. Any suggestions?

when ever I'm alone in a city or town wear i don't know any one
i normally just go to a pub and stand at the bar iv met loads of interesting people doing this all tho its a short term thing
and I'm a bloke so no one is going to take me for a slapper
as you are a young mum i suggest a mother and toddler group
were you can meet other people and have something to talk about your baby as you are shy walking in will be the hardest
part after that I'm sure you will be fine

how about a local exercise class if you can find one with child care on site, or 1 night when your husband can baby sit. Dont worry though when your 1 year old starts nursery then school youll have lots of friends.

If you moved to NY we can be buddies. I'm shy too and also moved away from family and friends, but it was for a boyfriend, not a husband.

Let your husband baby-sit once a week and join an evening class.

have you found out if there are any mums and tots groups in the area that's usually a good place.
