I will be staying near Bangalore for 3 months but won't have much free time, I want to visit Taj Mahal, though, can somebody pls tell me what is the cheapest way to get there? How long would it take?

Take a flight to Agra

From Bangalore you have train going to Delhi which halt at Agra Canttonment. FRom Agra Canttonment there are lot of transports available for Taj MAhal at a very cheaper rates.
Trains from BAngalore to Agra Cantt:

Bangalore-New Delhi KArnataka Express

Coimbatore-Nizamuddin Kongu Express

Yesvantpur-Nizamuddin KArnataka Sampark Kranti Express

Bangalore-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express

Get rajdhani Express going to New Delhi from Bangalore and get down at Mathura junction.

catch Rajdhani express ...its a nice train experience and also on the way you can pass many cities.. though you take more time than the flight ..its worth it..
