I like the Tigers but I thought they had kind of a fluke season. They did great in 2006 but I just have a feeling they won't make it far into the playoffs, if they even do make the playoffs.

I think that it's going to be a close one again like last year.

But i hope it comes to a one game margin as well

The Tigers will be good, the Twins will be good.

The Twins had an incredible second half, which got them the division, i don't think they will do that again.

The Twins and White Sox will compete for that division, I think the White Sox will get it. They have a better line up, and their pitching will rebound, while I think the Tigers pitching will regress (much like said White Sox pitching regressed in 2006)

It will be hard for the Wild Card to come out of this division again. The Yankees will always be there, and the Red Sox are going to be back with a vengence. Someone said about the Sox key being Matsuzaka. I think the Sox's key will be their bullpen and Beckett/Papelbon.

Matsuzaka should have an alright year, probably not great as he will be adjusting. Beckett needs to prove he can be an AL Ace, and Papelbon as a starter.

But that is off the topic a bit.

The Tigers will have the rotation, and a decent line up, but its unfair to say they should win the same amount of games. Baseball is pretty streaky, Once you get going there is no stopping you (Cardinals in the postseason. Its unlikely the tigers can get that same streak together again.

Verlander basically crashed in the last 2 months, how will he go in 2007?

I think The twins will take the "cake" (at least get in the playoffs)
Also, The Tigers can only get better.
I think The Tigers (or The Twins) will take the wild card.

The Tigers were no fluke (aka the whinny sux).

Yes, I know The Tigers "choked" in the WS. But it's okay.
They gained a lot of experience that will make them stronger in the near future. The Tigers DO NOT expect the world series to be handed to them every year (unlike some OTHER teams do).

The Tigers know it takes team work (not big egos like some ny teams I know of) to make it. Hard work and dedication help too.

Considering where The Tigers have been the last 15 years (43-119 3 years ago) I am very proud at what they have done.

With Jim Leyland at the helm, The Tigers look good for 2007.

I fully expect The Twins & The Tigers to go at it in full force 2007.

May the better team win!

The tigers will definitly be good. The loss of Liriano and radke in the Twins rotation will be a major loss. I don't think they will win the division and depending on how the red sox and white sox do they just might have a shot at the wild card. The red sox performance will greatly rely on how Daisuke Matsuzaka does. And the white sox were dissapointed in the later part of the season and I think they can bounce back and get the wild card. I do think that with the addition of gary sheffield it will give them just enough power to win the central.

It's the best division in baseball right now. Forget about Kansas City, but the all the rest of the teams have an excellent shot to win the division or wild card. Should Cleveland decide to upgrade their pitching, they will contend too. The thing working against the Tigers is that teams don't repeat much in this day and age.

I think the Tigers will be good, but the Twins will probably step over them into the playoffs next season.

Now that the tigers have Sheffield they will do just as well as they did in 06 maybe better. I think the twins will not do as well and they will fall behind. The only reason the twins did well is because the rookies had a boost but this year they will not do as well. Another reason that the twins will not do well is because they will not have Brad Radke.

The detroit tigers are the single worst team in the entire human history of organized sports. The only reason they made an effort and got to the world series is so that that could give their tens of fans an even higher level of disappointment by totally losing it. They went out with a whimper and got totally destroyed by the cardinals, as literally 15 or 20 tigers fans watching at home shook their heads.

The detroit tigers are the detroit lions of baseball.

Tigers should be about the same as this year--but the white sox are gonna be tougher than ever ...and the twins hate to spend any money-and they need to find 3 starting pitchers fast and cheap!

They will battle it out all year, if the Twins get some pitching they should be right up there with the Tigers, looks like another year of failure for the Yankees. They are getting used to it. Overall the AL is the stronger league.

The Tigers are at least an honorable opponent for the Twins, and good sports who like competition.

It will be close. Don't forget the White Sox either. This will be the toughest division in Baseball. I fancy the Twins will win it though but only just. It could literally come down to injurys within the teams starting rotations.
