This is absolutely not your fault so please stop blaming yourself for the death of your best friend. Losing someone who is so special to you is difficult enough without the added strain of feeling guilty. You did nothing wrong. Please seek professional help to get you through this painful time in your life. I know it is heart wrenching! My best friend died several years ago of brain cancer and so did my sister so I certainly understand what it's like to be unable to eat, sleep and stop crying but someday it won't hurt this badly. However, the sadness and sorrow can come again when you least expect it, so keep trusting God to give you the peace that only He can give. I pray that He will bless you with the strength to endure and overcome this terrible tragedy. Please seek assistance because you really need a good counselor right now. I wish you the best.

Remember, this is NOT your fault!!!!!

It is not your fault! Think about all the elements that went into getting into the accident. If she left home one minute earlier or one minute later the accident might not have happened. Same if she drove one mile an hour faster or slower. Or made or missed the last light. And what about the a** who drove drunk? What if he left earlier or later, drove faster or slower? Was he drinking with anyone? Why did no one stop him from having that last drink or getting behind the wheel?

If you cannot logically see that it was not your fault (it may be hard to think that way), please seek out help from school (if you are a student) or family to get professional assistance.

Feeling guilty after someone else dies is common (called survivor's guilt), but that does NOT make this your fault.

It was not your fault. You may want to seek some counseling to help you to deal with this. I think that many times this happens when people are involved in a accident and one of the participants dies. It is called survivors guilt. You are not responsible for her death, the person who was driving drunk is the one who is responsible. Stop beating up on yourself, it could have very well have been you. God does what he does and sometimes their is no explanation for his actions. Please seek some counseling and pray. Prayer is very good for the soul. Good luck and God bless****

i'd be sad too, but if shes a believer in Jesus she'll go to heaven, and if your a believer too, then it will only be a second(to her) before she meets you. But even though that doesnt mean it will be a second before you meet her you can still live your life. so dont be sad you whole life, because you'll see her agian. Hope I cheered you up. And its not your fault at all.

It would probably be a good idea that you see a counsellor as they can talk you thru it. It might take you a while to get thru it. Even just get to your local doctor and talk to them about it, this might help.
