it is a collin raye song called love me. it is about a grandma and grandpa who met and wanted to run away but they did not she left him a note. then flash foward and she is dying, granpa reads the note again. it goes: If you get there before I do, don't give up on me. I['ll meet you when my chores are through, I don't know how long I'll be. But I'm not gonna let you down, darlin' wait and see. And between now and then till I see you again I'll be loving you, love me.
I heard it after my grandma passed away and to this day I cannot hear it without crying. I guess that is why I do not listen to country anymore

Cat's in the Cradle.
My dad worked a lot when I was a kid and he was always out of town on business. Now my parents live in the UK and I am in the US. Whenever they come to town, I am out of town for work (I travel monday to Friday every week) and can only see them at the weekends. I work so much that I only ever go back to London when one of my parents is in hospital (which, sadly, has been averaging about once a year). The song makes me cry because it's way too close to home.

I want to dance with my Father again.
You see I lost Dad 3 years and 9 months ago and I still miss him so very much.
I heard this song by Luther Van Dross when I was at work about 1 year after Dad passed on and the tears flowed, and they still do.
