Yes, absolutely. AND I think love is better at 40 because as a full - fledged adult you should know who you are and what you want. Goals and dreams are hopefully well on their way to being realized, so it is easier to focus on your romance. Life and love is sweeter and more precious as you might be feeling the first cold wisps of mortality as friends and family members pass on.
My best friend's mom just turned 80 and is marrying her high school sweetheart! She is my hero!

Yes, of course, love is possible the second time around.
Excuse me for asking, but weren't you in love the first time you married?
Anyway, I thought I was in love the first marriage, but I really wasn't. I'm married a second time, 15 years, and I am happy every day of my life with him.
My sister just remarried after being a widow for 7 years. She's 65 and he's 66. Love comes any time.

yes - even after you have been married more than once. Lots of things can be confused with love - unless love is present a relationship cannot last - because everything else can be taken away. Love as I know it now is not a verb, i.e. its not something I do, its something I am. I think at 40 you realise what love isn't -which makes it easier to recognise what love is.

Yes, it is possible. Love can make everyone young or old behave in a very funny way even if you were once married. Love is a condition of emotional primacy and it knows no bounds. So enjoy it whilst it lasts.

love isn't limited to the young. if anything you emotional intelligence and understanding of love increase with age and you are more likely to have successful relationship having past experience and a sense of self. you still have emotions and hormones do you not?! don't dare think you shouldn't have love in your life that's ridiculous - go for it! and whoever answered no obviously has a limited capacity for
psychological understanding because if they think they won't still make connections with other people after 40 i wonder what they think happens in the other 40 years of their lives.
