Ha ha...no, just embrace it. I'm awkward; I'll admit it...I'm plenty awkward. I make jokes of it. If people realize that you know you're awkward, but you don't care, they won't care either. Besides, if you can laugh at it yourself, it won't matter so much if others laugh at it too.
I can't help it if I run into walls and store displays any more than you can help knocking things down. It happens, and then it makes for an interesting story later on!

It is really tough "to get over it" when someone is laughing at you. But I believe that being cool and letting people know that their attitude does not affect you (even if it does) will make them shut up.
