Nobody has a clue WHAT is going to happen next. Maybe we will be FORCED to evacuate. A general and unstoppable uprising will settle the question for us? that'd be a win by default.

Well, Ken, since the newly-elected Democrats don't even take office until next year, your question seems a bit untimely. Right now, all that's certain is that the voters have said that we're rather seriously dissatisfied with the status quo. The Dems and the Repugs are all trying to come up with ways to satisfy the voters. There will be change, fer sure. Whether or not they're the RIGHT changes and whether or not they occur soon enough is another question entirely. One thing fer sure: there won't be a massive, overnight withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afganistan, even were YOU to suddenly become President of the United States. Getting them out and safely home simply cannot be done helter-skelter.
It's good that we kicked Republican hiney on Election Day - but we're going to have to work as hard keeping the Dem's feet to the fire as we did to get 'em elected in the first place. You up for that? I am! Kick butt and take names - Hooah! Semper Fi, motha truckers!

I see someone may have watched "Face The Nation" this morning.

Catch 22. That's what politics is all about.

What will happen is this: We will elect another Republican
President in 2008 He will bring the troops home. Voila, Viet Nam
all over again.

Thank you very much, while you're up!!!

Watch for the Iraq survey groups recommendations, I think Baker will call for a phased redeployment to Kuwait as a method of trying to downgrade the level of violence, that said if the Iraqi's themselves don't start standing together then there is a little Else we can do and we should leave

The fact that rumsfield is no longer controlling the troops, but rather the generals.

I think much will change now

This is not a movie series on TV. This is real life, be patient! It will happen. Everyone is working on it. No one hour answer is going to resolve the issues at hand. Not even one week or one months so chill.

I think it means we need to get radical about winning.

And maybe keep our eyes on Iran. And save some ammo for Iran.
