To download music for free you can either use a torrent client such as BitComet (http://www.bitcomet.com/) or you can use eDonkey which is peer-to-peer filesharing.

Limewire is FREE, go here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml and get the "basic" version then download a "Limewire Pro" serial from Limewire :)

i tried for ages and itr seems you cant.lots claim this and then they ask you for your card details.in the end i paid £21 for a year of downloads.i have no problem now downloading loads of songs any time of day.no limits and only £21 for a year,not bad.
