Nope...I'm Romanian...I don't necessary agree with Romania and Bulgaria joining....they are far from ready, but it all goes down to politics...

The next country after Romania&Bulgaria is Croatia, set to join the EU in 2009. After that nothing is clear, because France has reserved the right to hold referendums each time a country wants to join the EU (after Croatia).

Romania and Bulgaria are not ready to join the but the EU is anxious to get them into the fold as soon as possible as they have a schedule to keep to. The next countries scheduled to join are Croatia, Bosnia and then Macedonia and Albania. Russia is very unlikley to join or want join. On the EU's part they don't meet the criteria for a fully devoloped democracy and Russia has its own strong economic ties with the former Soviet republics which it will have to sever and impose tariffs on those incoming goods if it does join (similiar to the UK having to impose tarrifs on Commonwealth goods when we joined). The majority of these republic's trade is with Russia and the cutting of trade would ruin the economies of the smaller republics which are economically dependant on Russian trade. As a large amount of its GDP is tied up with its former republics I cannot see Russia joining in the near future

WOW! and I thought I was on the right.
I disagree with just about all the c.rap here so far.
I have nothing against Romania or the people. But there country is in such bad shape and economy so bad that I think for a country like ours who puts in more than we take out. It will push us to almost Bankruptcy.
So, NO to Romania and YES lets get the F**K out of the EU.

The usual spin is that they will "benefit" our economy, and "diversity " is a wonderful thing.
Everyone regrets the muslims coming already.
So tony blair says.."hey ive got a great idea.......
let the EU send all the thieving gypos from eastern europe to our country"

I don't agree with them joining because it's obvious that they will all head for here, for the free handouts! We need to get out of the EU before we sink. Vote UKIP. The only party that want to take us out of Europe.

More scum of the earth for us poor Brits to endure, where will it all end. I depair for the younger element trying to find work in a market dominated by cut price foreigners. Blair has left a legasy alright, one of his monumental failure to protect his fellow country men.
