it all depends how long you have been on them as your ovaries,Fallopian tubes, uterus etc are now getting used to the chemical changes that they are undergoing so good luck and dont worry as it can take from 6 to 12 months for them to regulate themselves on their own

The first time I took Provera and I never got a period (I wasn't pregnant either). The second time I took Provera I got my period about 4 days after my last pill. They say it can take up to 2 weeks for your period to start, and if it doesn't start by then, the Provera didn't work to bring on a period. If you are worried about being pregnant, go get a bloodtest to check all your levels, and if you are in the clear, take the Provera to bring on a period. I am guessing your doc prescribed it since you are not ovulating, and therefore not having a period on your own. If you are trying to get pregnant, Provera won't help. You should ask about getting on clomid. Goodluck and baby dust to you!!!

Hmmm, your period should continue to come even though you are not on the pill. Keep in mind though that your body is going through hormonal changes because of the lack of hormones from the pill. I would give it another month and see what happens. If it still doesn't come then you might have to try going back on the pill to get it regulated again. Perhaps the pill that you were on wasn't the right one for you. So another month, no period, see the doctor.

i think it varies from one person to the next. I came off the injection contraceptive months ago and still haven't got my period back and am not pregnant. I never thought i'd say this but I can't wait til it comes back. I feel like I have lost a huge part of myself and I can understand in a way why you seem anxious about this. Take care. Hope it comes soon - if you want it to.

"The average woman takes one month to three months to start ovulating again after stopping the pill. Sometimes ovulation may occur sooner; other times, it may take longer. So the first sign that your ovulation has returned is usually the reappearance of your regular menstrual cycle, a couple of weeks after ovulation.
"Post-pill amenorrhea," the absence of a menstrual period after you stop the pill, is seen in about one in 30 women after they stop the pill. Until you start menstruating regularly, it's going to be difficult to tell exactly when you've ovulated, unless you start checking for other signs of ovulation.
If your menstrual period doesn't return, or if it continues to remain very irregular for several months, that may be a sign that you haven't started ovulating regularly yet.
If your menstrual cycle has not returned by three months, or more, after you stop the pill, you probably want to see your Ob-Gyn and discuss what to do next. "
"it's normal to get irregularities in your period after taking that pill, or any kind of contraceptive pills. That's called post-pill amenorrohea. caused by hormonal irregularities. soon your body's hormones will gain their balance again."

i don't know, i didn't have mine for a year and a half after i stopped taking the pill. as long as you're not prego, enjoy it! swim as much as you want whenever you want, lol! just carry a pad/tampon just in case, and keep track and keep your doctor informed of what's going on. but like i said, i've had that before, and i wish i had it again! lol!
