Gwar is not a kid band. But who am I to tell people how to raise their kids? They dress up in monster outfits, fun for adults but if you have little ones they could be scared.

they're a heavy metal band formed in 1985. they dress up in sci-fi/horror costumes and put on elaborate, garphic stage preformances which consist of humorous re-enactments of scatology, sadomasochism, necrophilia, pedophilia, bestiality, fire dancing, pagan rituals, executions, and other controversial violent and political themes and they have raunchy, politically incorrect lyrics.
so i would say no, they aren't really a kid band
