It's all so pathetic. Who gives a rats @$$ if he called a n*ggar a n*ggar!?! I get called a fat ***** now and again too, you don't see me boo-hoo-ing over it. All people are entitled to say whatever they wish rather it's right or wrong. And believe it or not, there are worse things that a person could be besides a "racist" like a mass murderer or a child molester. People need to get over it!!!

Empathizing with another human being is fine, but don't you feel you're being a little one-sided in this at all?
I mean he could of gotten away with the just the n-bomb, but then he tried to discredit the hecklers by saying we (black people in general) would have been swinging from trees with forks in are tushes. In other words, he was saying what we think shouldn't count because we were treated so badly in the past.
You asked:"Why do Blacks have to jump on the racism bandwagon everytime an infraction is made?"
I ask: Why do Whites have to resort to racial epithets whenever they get into disputes with Blacks? Richards could of come up with something better. I've seen him do other stuff so I know he is capable of a much more intelligent response than what he did come up with. Oh and I do believe the nature of the infraction of Richards part was indeed racist to begin with, so what were blacks supposed to complain about after that vulgar display? His lack of comedic skills?
I say if whites want to go and see him do stand-up, that's just fine. He'll never get a dollar out of me.

"This is what people in Hollywood take for granted."
Actually it wouldn't of been a deal at all if he was a nobody. This is a fine example to get some cash off of him, since that seems to be the victims cure to his wound...
its true he screwed up big, but he apologized and it was genuine. Let us not forgot that words like "cracker" and "fkin white boy". What im trying to say is, the black guy was not making the situation any easier, but that wont stop the eyes on michaels remarks.
Seinfeld even said to Letterman "I know how shattered he is about this and he deserves the chance to apologize," If Seinfeld can see him being torn up by it, why can't anyone else?

The media made a big deal of the situation because he's a celebrity and acted like an ***, not just because he made racist remarks. Look at Mel Gibson..He made racist remarks about Jews and the media was all over it! When your famous you're expected to carry yourself in a certain manner and when you don't you better believe the world will know about it!

perhaps you do not comprehend each and every of the information. Richard's racist comments (even although that they did not belong "interior his act") were not component to his act. He grew to develop into incensed because some black people contained in the target audience shouted out that he wasn't humorous. He released an attack on those certain people putting forward, "Fifty years in the past, you'd be the different way up with a fork on your a s s !" and persevered with calling them *****rs, and shouting for safe practices to throw them out. (professional comedians comprehend a thanks to handle hecklers. Michael Richards is of route not a professional.) The target audience gasped with "Oh my God"'s ...and so on. It became not nicely gained, and it became not component to his "act" even although that it did not belong in his act both. It wasn't comedy. It became real existence the way Michael Richards said it. in spite of the indisputable fact that if it were "component to the act" .. do you concentration on that comedy? you likely didnt' comprehend that or you does not be condoning it. Oh yeah .. one extra ingredient ... Thumbs right down to the Thumbs Down Fairy! (and considering there is completely a million in preserving with reaction, i'm wondering this is the ASKER of this question - no one responding to this question has agreed with you! good on, Mama!

Poor Michael Richards - r u serious??? This is what people in Hollywood take for granted. They think because of who they are they can do anything and get away with it!!! Its a shame he didn't think before he opened his mouth. He could of said many things to insult those people what he said was wrong. I don't care what color you are if you go right for the jugular and call someone of a different race a name of bigotry you deserve an a.s.s. kicking!!!

I'm Black. Strong, Smart, Successful. And I think Michael Richards is a racist a**hole.
If he was dumb enough to say what he said in public, then he deserves the public's rebuttal. What's so wrong with that?
Or are you a big fan of ranting racist speech?
P.S. He apologized. So why are you excusing someone who won't even excuse themself? You must have liked his message I guess.

You are exactly right! They are just exploiting the fact that he is famous. This same behavior is practiced every day hundreds of times by whites AND BLACKS and you never hear about it on the news.
