Okay... Here goes...

A ski trip at the school has been arranged. 30 students and 6 parents are to attend. The buses are being split up into oen group of 10 students with 2 parents and 20 students with 4 parents.

a) How many different groups of 10 Students can be formed.

So I did n=30 r=10.... 30 P 10 = 30!/(30-10)! And got 1.1 x 10 ^14

b) How many different groups of 10 students with 2 parents are possible?

So I have my 1.1x10^14 and figured out there are 30 ways the parents can be arranged....

So my question is do I add 1.1x10^14 to 30 or do I multiply them?

I did it really FAST in my head and came up with 3 groups of 10 students each having 2 parents.

Is this a beginner question or did I miss something? :)
