can i replace my heavy 6 volt 4.5amp lead acid battery for a lighter one?

i can only seem to find lead acid replacement batteries and they are huge! i would prefer a nimh one, where can i buy one from?

6 v batteries are hard to find, it's kind of , be happy you can find one at all sorry that's the way it is
