My life has suddenly become more meaningful this year, why I hear you ask, because I gave my life to Christ last year, and I have started doing voluntary work for my local community. Previously I was just existing aimlessly looking after my two children, and feeling that there must be more to life, but not knowing how to access it, now i feel fulfilled and I have a new lease of life and something to look forward too. I fully intend to go back out to work, as soon as I find a suitable job for my many talents, I will not give up doing my voluntary work , if there is a will there is a way.

My ability to breathe freely and help others, no matter what their level of need. I'm 34 and have been a nurse for 12 years. It's not something I do, it's what I AM. My heart could stop suddenly 5 minutes from now; I live my life to the fullest! To those with hardships - be the VICTOR and not the VICTIM!

Typically being mind full of the dying and grate-full for awaking each day, actually of being at all.
Being part of this extraordinary thing called life.
To have this incredible capacity to be self aware and to be given a life time to understand it. On one level.

On another level ones children and those we love for who they are.

The Sunlight cast over the sea, the vistas and open spaces and the sadness in our hearts.

Seem most things have meaning if we can see it!

I live in Malta and enjoy each day so to get back to your question I have to say that just living,as i don't believe in god and an after life, so i live each day as if its my last

What gives meaning to my life is very very simple and if more people understood they would feel so much happier
what gives meaning to life is the simple fact that you are alive .I know this because once i nearly died ,infact i did but the doctors revived me .Once you have realised the enormity of what death means to you personally, all the things you almost lost that you didn`t apreciate when you had the chance, you realise how precious every second of life is .yours and every one else`s

A passing smile from a total stranger. It just makes me happy to know that someone I've never met thought I was important enough to share a brief friendly moment with.

My little boy. I can barely remember life without him - he is only 7 but he has taught me that there is more to life than pondering my navel and being self-obssessed. Life suddenly becomes about love - and it's the purest love you can imagine.

Loving my family, I suppose. Music, having the craic with friends, learning new things, reading. God, I sound very selfish. I contribute a little to charity but otherwise it's all about me. Your question is very thought provoking.

The idea that there's no afterlife or heaven reward when i'm dead. That forces me to live life to the fullest, to make it the most meaningful during the short time i'm here.

The relationships, the accomplishments, and the goals I have, as well as the things I do - all of these give meaning to my life.
