The same place that the answers go if you happen to be number 31 on YA. Have you noticed that it'll jump from 30 to 32? Yes, I realize there is a next page....but 31 is never there! It's a conspiracy, I tell you!

if you truly find the answer to that one you will be lucky.
I do know that a washing machine repair man did tell me once that small socks(like baby's and small children's) can be sucked under the washer agitator and go out the drain. other than that I have no clue
we blame it on the monster in the closet he uses them to keep his horn warm and make a nice smelly bed/nest.

Some people say they get magicly sucked thru the dryer lint thing and end up in the tube that leads outside. My father dropped his dentures in the dryer once and he never could find all the teeth that broke off.

the bathing machines get hungry and that they like socks so they consume one pair at a time hoping you will no longer notice. or you have something residing on your washer that likes socks.
