My mate is buying an ipod, but can only use her dad's computer with it. He already has an ipod. Would there be any problems with them both using their ipods on the same computer?

No there are no problems, provided that you manage your music manually. You'll be using one library of music, but if different Ipods have different memory sizes, such as a 30Gb and an Ipod nano, then you won't be able to hold all the music on the nano.

Therefore, if you update manually you can upload and remove music regularly to keep the tunes refreshing..

I have a nano, and my wife has the 30Gb version, and we manage just fine, as our album collection is stored in one place.

hope that helps

My daughter and son both had ipods and used the same computer. They would sometimes wipe each others music out so you have to create a seperate user account on the computer to avoid this problem. This way each person can update their ipod without affecting the other.

Nope, a few of my family memebrs have ipods and use the same computer. You would proabbly just have to name each Ipod folder differently

i had problems in the past with sharing a computer for itunes....id put all my songs on my computer and then download it to my ipod, then my ex would put his ipod on my computer, and his worked fine...it downloaded all my songs to his ipod, but then when i tried to sort out my ipod by adding more songs to it, it erased my 820 songs...i was not amused lol so my moral of this story is be careful!

Each Ipod owner can have their own library. Also each Ipod can be named for each owner so there won't be a problem.
