If you want to become as a data analyst or any market analyst better do some courses like SAS and SPSS. If you want to continue pure accounting and finance better to go SAP FICO or Oracle Financials, for that you should get both technical and functional knowledge, because now a days companies are preferring techno functional consultants. And go through some websites to get vast knowledge on subject, read and download some white papers, try to prepare some of our papers on analysis base.

Just for a quick answer... for telecommute I would pick a subject that you know and then try to land a job doing online customer service for that. If you know bicycles then search for bicycle company that hires online customer support or pays people to manage their support forum. For online business, there are many that can be great but beware of any "easy" ones. Generally.. if you put chore-time into it then you can get chore money. If you put half-day into it, half-day pay. To get a full time paycheck then you will probably have to put that much time in it. BUT if you choose something that you would be willing to put that much time into even if it wasnt for money, then it wont seem like so many hours of work. Again, you might want to tighten up the subject and try again. Such as if you are creative (graphics or witty comments) then a safe thing you might look at CafePress where you can open a free shop and see if your stuff can sell online before shifting up to a paid shop with some more benefits.
