This is more like if you leased farmland...could anyone without your consent just come on that land to hunt?

If the "trespass" is the owner, owner's immediate family, it is OK. ,but I have always found good landlords notify their tenants. If it is anyone else, save your "face" and put up a NO TRESPASS sign,in a visible place. But as a tenant, it is always better to keep the peace. The trespasser may be a neighbour who has taken the "short-cut" through the property for years! Use your better judgement. In a "leased" property, you must READ the Terms and Conditions to know your legal rights. Didn't you do that before you signed? If you have no written lease, then your "****-out-of-luck"!

That depends on what you mean by trespass. You have the right to 'quiet enjoyment' of the property as long as you obey the terms of the lease, such as paying the rent on time, don't have any extra people living in the property etc. You must also grant the landlord access to inspect the property at reasonable times and with notice; and he/she can come in, or have their agents enter at any time, to deal with a dangerous or emergency situation, like a gas or water leak.

No-one else can enter the property without your permission, and you are entitled to call the police if someone does break in or otherwise abuses the space you are leasing.

Need more info on this one. Where I live, if you have someone coming over that you don't want there, you can call police, they will issue a no trespass ticket to the person then if they come back you can have them arrested. Doesn't matter if you rent or own.

Not if you put up a WALL first. Not a fence. But a WALL.
Perhaps you could get some American volunteers to put it up, brick by brick.
