very sorry that many [Malaysian included] don't know where is Kuala Lipis, its actually situated in the state of Pahang. Though nothing much to offer as tourist destination except for anglers as the river there is rich in udang galah[fresh water prawn], the only reason that some one know of it is simply because our famous female singer - Siti Nurhaliza was born there ! Yes, she is from Kuala Lipis !

Another reason is those who wish to go to Kelantan via Gua Musang [not the coaster road] has to pass through this some town ! Anyway, it has the charms of a small town where most things are cheap n no traffic jam, good for a stop-over n rest before continue your journey !

If for any reason you are in Kuala Lipis then here's a few things you could do. Note, its a small rural town with the attendant issues/entertainment value of such towns.

1) You could go fishing in the river but its pretty contaminated
2) Kuala Lipis is actually the staging point for trips into the national park nearby where you can do a two week trek including a climb of Penaninsula Malaysias tallest mountain.

what is Kuala Lipis? Do you mean Kuala Lumpur?

yes Kuala Lumpur is worth a visit, great place to see and have fun. make sure you take time to get out of the city too - away from the main touristy areas + westerners for a different experience.

I would recommend staying at the Sheraton Imperial, Renaissance, Westin or JW Marriott Hotel.

Kuala Lipis is just a small town located in the state of Pahang Darul Makmur. it is the mid point between Kota Bharu & Bentong. the only place to visit is the home of Malaysia's favourite female singer, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza.

there's nothing much too see in Kuala Lipis..perhaps i could recommend to you to a place that worth your time and visit..will be at the Janda Baik..located in Pahang..which is only 45km North of Kuala Lumpur and its about 35 minutes drive..the place is a favourite among the city ppl as its rich with tropical greens, river and waterfall..located on the hilly mountains of Titiwangsa mountain range..the breezy fresh cooling air..make you feel rejuvenated!
check out the resort there at http://www.seripengantinresort.com.my

they also offers outdoor activity like jungle trekking to the waterfall..waterfall repelling ..teambuilding..and such..
nature lovers called it heaven..!

cheers!

on account that Kaula Lumpur is the niggest city and the capital city of Malaysia. the situation is in some way high priced in there. places such Genting Island and Sunway Lagoon are few themeparks that i gues you may rather have a good time with. Batu Caves are the extremely some vacationer spot that i might propose and different historic landmarks that are very severe high quality and intensely academic to boot. Petronas twin Tower is a would desire to to be there and spot for your self. that's the utmost twin tower in the previous interior the full international yet now its Tapei one hundred and one in Taiwan.
