If you aren't very affectionate, and she likes a lot of affection you need to meet in the middle.

I love affection but am not overly concerned with it. I think holding hands, holding her around her waist, kissing her on her forhead, tickling, hugging, whatever you feel comfortable doing but it has to come from the heart or it will look forced which will only make her wonder if theres something wrong. Affection shouldn't seem really aggressive or overly sexual or it may seem like a bit much. It should seem effortless and just another way to show her how you feel without using words. Don't overthink it though.

I think you need to talk to someone about why you lack an affectionate side. Everybody needs human affection. More than likely it stems from something that happened (or didn't happen) to you as a child. Your girlfriend deserves an affectionate man who loves her and wants the world to know it. Nothing feels better than having the person you love put their arms around you, there is a sense of security that it provides. Please seek help, if there is a problem, it doesn't mean your hopeless. You obviously don't want your girlfriend to feel like she's not loved.

How much affection is enough or too much? That's personal to the two that are sharing in that affection. As far as you not being sure of this with your girlfriend...communicate about this with her. Also, watch her body language...that will tell you volumes. Love and affection is not only conveyed though physical touching, it's also conveyed through respect, words, actions when together or apart. But personally...from this one woman's heart...I enjoy all the affection and holding.

It depends, hold her hand if she wants you to. You don't have to suck face in public, but whenever another guy walks by, make sure they know she is your girl. That makes a girl feel like a million bucks. Usually if there are problems between you both about showing public affection, maybe one of you is more smitten than the other one? Ask her about it.

It is not that we enjoy it, it has to be natural when two people are together and they are in love it shows, the man is normally protective with the woman if they cross the street he holds her hand and will lead her, if they are in a crowded room he circles his arms around her to protect, even in a car he is driving he suddenly hits the brakes one hand always reaches across to protect her, its instinct, i can't speak for all women having a man grope me in public is disrespectful even if we are in love.

My husband is not a fan of PDA. But he does touch me every now and then. I've been with him for 7 years and he probably only held my hand once. You can show her you love her in other ways. Such as telling her or just being with her. Being intimate does not require physical contact. Hope this help!

Gosh George, you and me need to be together. lol

I got me a long distance relationship going on kind of, and I don't like holding his hand either! Our hands don't feel like they fit good together. I've told him this, but everytime we've happened to leave my place, he immediately grabs my hand. I take it as a 'control issue", sense I have told him, I don't like it.

I'll hold his arm, but I don't want the hand.
Maybe by me being single for so many years and being treated like sh*t, I have lost all my affections towards men in public too.I don't know. OH, he always wanted me sitting next to him on my couch holding my hand too, and I don't like it either.

My guy is just like you and I tell him to give me a look once in awhile, a compliment, a flower, touch my knee or something even for a fleeting moment, a slap on the tush once in awhile.
