I feel like I'm a sick person. I've been attracted to him for awhile now. I see him checking me out sometimes and wonder if he feels the same.

I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with it and I personally think that people who say "ew ew ew that's gross you're sick--you're disgusting...get help!" are only saying that because they are afraid of it themselves. I think that since you feel like you are a sick person then this is a problem because it's generating self-loathing. You should probably talk to maybe your counselor at school. Also there are hotlines that you can call for incest although this isn't incest i think that people there would be able to help you sort out what's going on because they're used to cases where incest is actually ocurring. I think that you shouldn't feel like you're a terrible person because a lot of people feel that way, it's just incredibly unacceptable in our society, but I also think that it sounds like you already feel like you are a terrible person for thinking that so I think you should talk to someone. And you should NOT act on it. Please.

yes it is sick but normal. this is the edipis concept which states that a girl is attracted to her father by froid. which usually concludes that the girl will find a guy like her father. i doubt he's checking you out though with those thoughts. you just think he may be thinking those thoughts because that's what you're thinking. i would stop fantasizing about him though and get a boy friend to let out all that energy

Does your father "flirt" with you or treat you like his "little girlfriend"? Does he touch you in appropriate ways?
He may be generating confusion in your mind if he has not established proper parental boundaries with you, and that's not going into whether he has actually molested you, which I pray he has not.
Alternatelly, is he remote and ignore you? Maybe you feel that sexual attention is one way to get his attention.
At any rate, I think you need to think about where this is coming and seek some sort of counseling. I suspect this "attraction" is not coming from a good place.

It's not normal, but it is also not uncommon. As far as him checking you out, if he is this is tremendously inappropriate behavior for a father. Of course, you might just think he is looking at you in the same way out of a strong desire that he would feel the same way. Look, if your mother is still around (which from the way you feel towards your father I have my concerns she does not) talk to her. If she is not available, talk to your father. If he does happen to feel the same way then you need to talk to your school counselor, do not act on your impulses. Any way you look at it you need to get help.

Electra complex? You could just be imagining that he's "checking you out." Talk to a therapist; it's perfectly normal for that to cross someone's mind (in fact, some people think it's completely universal) , but if you've been feeling attracted for a while you need to figure it out.

well dont know a whole lot about this buy soundslike your under 18 and you dont know a lot of guys in your life or they turn away from you and turn you down and your father was always there to help you out and turn your felling of hate for people to happyness and you getting mixed signals.you should love him but not in that way it is morally wrong.

Its normal...it isn't normal to do it or to talk about it much but lots of people feel sexually attracted to their brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers. Its a problem if you act on that feeling though.

Woah girl! Well it is not normal but it does happen. If he is checking you out thats not appropriate. You are not a sick person. I think that maybe you should go to counseling or therapy to see why you are attracted to him. Thanks!
