At 22, I would prefer someone who didn't dress like a teenager still. I really like the jeans with a nice button up with a sweater on top - Patrick Dempsey rocks this look in Grey's Anatomy....
If I were to describe the look in terms of brands, I would say between Banana Republic and Abercrombie....
I also suppose the type of girl you are looking to attract makes a difference. But think about how much effort you put into your look and compare that to how much effort a girl puts into her looks....it doesn't always work out that way...but it's a good marker. It's safe to say that for the most part if you dress like a grungy skater you aren't going to get most girls who care about looks-aka the Abercrombie models...
